Create & Cultivate ✨📍NYC

Wow! 💖In the words of @ashleygraham, I’m so inspired by all of the “bold, beautiful, and brilliant,” women who built and spoke at @createcultivate.

I’ve followed @createcultivate for YEARS & have always wanted to attend one of their conferences, and the timing of this specific one worked out PERFECTLY!

If you don’t know what @createcultivate is, first of all, you should, second of all, it’s a company that helps women build the career of their dreams. @jaclynrjohnson, the CEO & founder, of create & cultivate is a total genius & one of my role models in business.

My very close friend @sophiasokolowski (the creator & host of the podcast @24thepeople among many other achievements) attended the event with me! We’ve been planning to go for about 6 months now & got tickets right after they announced the NYC Conference. We tried to go to the C & C Summit in Miami this past winter but it sold out before we bought tickets.

From 8am to 9:30pm, it’s a jam-packed day of soaking in inspiration and knowledge from panels and in-depth discussions led by women who are dominating thought leaders, changemakers, and entrepreneurs in their industries. Total boss-babes in every meaning of the word. A few of the speakers included @ashleygraham (she was my favorite) @marthastewart @amberheard @jaclynrjohnson @rosiehw @rebeccaminkoff @tamaramellon @becca @nikkiogun @katewalsh @drdendy @anastasiabeverlyhills @tiffanyreid @wendyslookbook @justinemarjan

Every aspect of Create & Cultivate is Instagram-able and beautiful from the stages, to the vendors, the happy hours, and the bulging gift bag of beauty & wellness products we received at the end of the day! There were stations you could get your hair and make up done, take a headshot, videoshoots, and book signings just to name a few.

The women in attendance are all super-focused, smart, passionate, friendly, and incredibly fashionable. Women come from all over the world for this event & there were over 1000 women in attendance for the NYC event.

One really cool part of the conference is the mentor power hour. It’s a small group breakout where 10-15 women meet with 2 C & C Mentors for about 30 minutes each. A mentor (my mentors included Francey Grund, Marketing Director from Chameleon Cold Brew @chameleoncoldbrew, and Nicole Tollefsrud, Influencer Development Manager at Shop Style @shopstyle) sat down with us to give us more intimate insight into their roles and answer any questions we had.

Key takeaways:

  • AUTHENTICITY (it was said a million times & recognized that the word is over-used but also super necessary when forming strong partnerships and relationships)

  • Take Up Space: be the changemaker! If you see something wrong in Company culture it’s up to you to say something or do something about it. Ask about diversity and create initiatives.

  • Brands love working with Micro-influencers. They value engagement over follower amount.

  • IG Likes are definitely going away.

  • It’s super important to have a personal brand. Companies and hiring managers seek it out.

  • It’s not enough to just do one thing anymore. It’s important to be involved in several different spaces,

It was such an incredible experience!! I left feeling inspired, educated, and motivated to achieve every 👏🏼single 👏🏼one 👏🏼of my goals! Including, speaking on stage one day at @createcultivate 💖✨
