All About Your Personal Hype Woman

I'm so happy you're here! Whether you found me on Instagram, Google, Youtube, or from taking class in person, I want to welcome you! I'm Christie Horan. I create workouts for women that are fun, empowering, and inclusive.

My goal is to bring together an amazing community of strong, empowered, and confident women who share a love for movement and an active lifestyle.

I grew up loving dance, fitness & movement from a young age. When I was in grade school my family moved around a lot due to my dad being in the Navy. Dance was always my constant and my passion. That passion continues today.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2014 where I earned a bachelors in Business Marketing, and danced on the nationally recognized dance team all four years. I led the team as captain my senior year and competed every year at UDA Nationals in the Hip Hop in Pom categories. I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities UKDT brought me.

  • Traveling to China with UKDT in 2013

  • Earning Dancer of the Year, Coaches Award, and MVP Awards.

  • Choreographing for UKDT auditions today

  • Earning 2nd in the Nation for UKDT’s 2021 UDA Game Day Routine and 5th in 2022, 2020 and 2019

My dream after college was to pursue dancing professionally.

I packed my bags and moved to the east coast, determined to make this dream come true. After auditioning for three NBA dance teams during the summer of 2014, I earned my spot on the Washington Wizards as an NBA dancer, and the rest is history.

You may or may not know that dancing professionally at the pro-sports level is a part-time job. I started working in marketing and sales for three years. I'm a mover and a shaker “literally” so, in 2017, I took the leap to become a full-time entrepreneur and have never looked back.

I'm happy to tell you that my dream of dancing professionally for the NBA was fulfilling and led me to the career I have today. I danced for six years on the Washington Wizards Dancers, leading the team as a captain for three of those years. I've traveled to London, Brazil, and China, and have met my best friends on this team. My NBA dance career helped lead me to my current role as the Head Coach of the NFL Washington Commanders’ Command Force Dance Team. where my love for leadership and dance come together. Dance makes up a huge part of who I am today and why I am so passionate about leading others. I have an incredibly extensive dance resume that I have worked at for 11 years.

Today, I spread love for movement by training women like you! With years of experience as a group fitness instructor and Women’s Fitness Specialist, I'm so grateful to bring you carefully constructed workouts and dance classes online.

My mission is to encourage you to follow your dreams, pursue your happiness, and live your best life. I feel so grateful to be doing that myself and truly feel as if I’m living my purpose. I hope this community can encourage you to do just that!
